I got a Tuesday present from Eddie yesterday. I can't begin to imagine why he decided to buy it, but then 'men never cease to amaze me'....
Chastity aka Chassie is a tiny, 2 month old, little Rat Terrier. Cute as a button, of course, but a cutie pie that will soon be a terrible little 'tornado', dragging everything she can get her little mouth around out into the yard, tearing anything not made of raw-hide into smaller pieces than it is possible to pick up.
At this point it is a chuckle to watch her bark at the chickens, run toward them, and then,as quickly as possible, run and hide; however, it won't be long until she will be scolded and punished for the actions that are so entertaining now. I suppose this is the time to stop finding it cute, and start telling her 'no'.
Our other dogs, Squeeky, a mid-sized, well rounded, older, heinz 57 breed, loving and protecting dog, and Rudy, our 1 1/2 year old, tall, lanky, attention seeker, Walker Hound, have both decided to not like the new little cutie, Chassie. They can't even imaging that sh
e is anything related to a 'dog'.
Thankfully, Rudy has not imagined her to be some kind of rodent or something that he is surely made to hunt. Squeeky, on the other hand, is just bidding her time until the little 'runt' is big enough to lead off to a place far enough away that it can't find it's way back home, which is her favorite way to rid herself of 'new' puppies that we dare to bring onto her turf. Chassie's biggest salvation is the fact that Squeeky is really getting old, and doesn't venture too far off any more.
Chastity spent her first night wrapped in a sheepskin blankie, in the bathtub. She slept all night without a single whimper.

Today we spent just about the whole day just getting to know one another. She loved her very first bath, but more than that she liked being swaddled in a towel and cuddled.
