Today It Rained

I am so thankful for all of the rain we received today. It was truly needed. I enjoyed just sitting and watching it as I drank a mug of French Vanilla coffee and ate a homemade Fruit & Bran muffin. Nothing but silence, except for the relaxing sounds of rain and wind, for a solid hour.

The morning was lazy and I accomplished nothing at all.

Later in the afternoon it began to rain really hard.
Eddie decided he was going to get out his new army
cot and take a nap out on the deck. As soon as he got layed down, our dogs, Squeeky and Rudy, came onto the deck and looked at him as though they were saying, "Hey, whatcha doin?"

Then they decided it was a good idea and in no time all three of them were asleep.

Of course, me, I was taking pictures....LOL
I believe that most of the time we forget just how blessed our lives are.
Tomorrow morning my brother Johnny will be having surgery. I pray that he will come through the surgery fine and recover fully. So many people ask why do people get sick, have to have surgery, and suffer with illness and pain. Why? they ask, doesn't God do something about it.
Well, He did. He sent His Son, who willingly suffered and died for each of us who willingly accepts Him as our Savior. I know that Johnny will be held safely in the hands of God, and that he will receive strength and comfort by relying Him.
We can receive comfort, relaxation, and joy in a rain shower. How much more can we receive this and so much more when we put our trust and faith in our Savior, Jesus Christ.

Beach Vacations

Well, it seems EVERYONE is taking a 'beach' vacation this year. Destin, Gulf Shores, Panama City, etc.
Are there good resorts, motels, or hotels that have balconies that you can sit on and be able to see the kids enjoying the water? I mean to actually be able to watch them from the balcony.

Sleepless In Big Creek
Y Ok, I have decided to join the great wide world of blogging. NOW, someone tell me just exactly what that means! I have become 'friends' with my computer. I don't know it very well, I'm not crazy about every thing it does, we have difference of opions about what we are doing, a lot, and sometimes it just really gets on my nerves. However, on the other hand, it has added many dimensions into my life. Learning skills, lots of new friends, communication opportunities, and mental stimulation. Plus, it is never too busy for me when I can't sleep, feel lonely, or just need something to do.One of my most favorite things to do is take pictures.God gives me the most opportunities with his wonderfully beautiful creations. My grandchildren have come to the conclusion that if they just 'grin and bear it' Nanna will stop taking pictures eventually.Pictures are a gateway into Memories. Take a moment some time and pull out an old photo album or an old box with mom's or grandma's pictures in them. All of a sudden memories of things you did come flooding into your mind. You will find a legacy worth more than any amount of money.Give it a try. Y
